Inclusive wayfinding and donor recognition create a welcoming experience that helps visitors of all ages and abilities explore ARC Park.
We developed a flexible signage system that combines donor recognition with wayfinding, reducing the number of signs throughout the park while making the most of the project budget. The system also helps visitors understand the different activities and amenities available throughout the park.
ARCpark is organized into eight Wellness Areas, each with its own wayfinding monument. We used color, graphics, and tactile elements to help visitors navigate between areas and understand what they can find in each one.
Each Wellness Area has a distinct color that carries through to the play equipment, creating visual connections throughout the park.
Donor names are integrated into the area monuments alongside information about activities and equipment.
Braille extends beyond minimum accessibility requirements, supporting navigation for visitors with a range of abilities.
