Crozet Elementary School
The landscapes around Crozet become part of the everyday experience at Crozet Elementary School.
We developed a wayfinding and environmental graphics system that connects students to the natural character of their community. Each floor takes its identity from a local landscape, while photography, maps, and educational graphics bring familiar places and native species into the school.

The three-level wayfinding system moves from creek to woodlands to mountains, giving each floor a distinct visual identity. Large-scale photographs of local places create a sense of connection to the community, while smaller graphics throughout the corridors introduce students to local plants, animals, and places worth exploring.
Floor-specific colors create a clear visual hierarchy and help students identify where they are in the building.
Classroom signs feature native flora and fauna, extending the local landscape theme into everyday navigation.
Informational graphics combine local facts and highlights with prompts that encourage curiosity about conservation and stewardship.
